Our stay at the Hotel Monaco was a wonderful experience! The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
During our stay we interacted with three different receptionists who were more than willing to answer our questions and guide us to our varied destinations. Since our German was very limited it was great that all of the staff spoke excellent English.
On arrival, the receptionist on duty quickly checked us in and took us to our room. After we were settled, she also helped us by giving us maps of the city as well as sharing her favorite Munich places to visit. While in Munich we had the desire to visit some second hand shops.We shared this desire with the receptionist and she looked up all the second hand shops in Munich on the internet for us. She also gave us directions to all of them! The rooms are very clean and well kept. Our room had a double bed which we both shared comfortably.
Our room had big windows and a fan which kept our room at a comfortable temperature even on the hottest days. We shared a bathroom with two other rooms. I had never shared a bathroom with other guests at a hotel before but it worked out just fine. The bathroom was always clean and the shower was nice and hot.
The Hotel Monaco is within two blocks of the main train station in Munich. This made finding the hotel very easy for us. It was also very close to the historic attractions of Munich. We were able to walk everywhere we wished to visit. All of our experiences in the city and with Hotel Monaco were very pleasant.
